Divya Pratibha Sanman Samaroh: Honoring
Exceptional Talents on International Day of Persons with Disabilities
On December 21, the Divine Rehabilitation Center organized the "Divya Pratibha Sanman Samaroh" in Rajkot to commemorate International Day of Persons with Disabilities. For the second consecutive year, the center celebrated the resilience and achievements of individuals with disabilities across Gujarat.
Awards and Recognition
Out of 77 applications received from across the state, a distinguished panel of judges selected 6 outstanding individuals for the prestigious awards. The judging panel included:
- Dr. Vidyut Shah (Renowned Physician)
- Dr. Anil Ambasana (Educationist)
- Ms. Jagrutiben Ganatra (Social Worker)
Divya Ratna Awards
Recipients were honored with a cash prize of ₹11,000 each:
- Ms. Nitaben Panchal
- Ms. Neelamben Parmar
- Mr. Mansukhbhai Sakariya
Divya Bhushan Awards
Recipients were honored with a cash prize of ₹4,000 each:
- Mr. Smeet Sorathia
- Mr. Jay Gangadiya
- Mr. Uttam Maru
Additional Grants:
- Mr. Ajay Patel (Managing Trustee, New Era School) announced an additional ₹5,000 for each winner.
- Mr. Chandpura (Prohibition Department) presented an additional ₹1,000 to each winner.
Key Highlights & Dignitaries
The event was graced by MLA Dr. Darshita Shah as the guest of honor. Other prominent attendees included:
Corporator Devang Mankad, Mr. Apul Doshi, Dr. Kamlesh Joshipura, and Mr. D.V. Mehta.
Medical professionals and community leaders including Dr. Sanjay Gadre, Dr. Jatin Mody, Dr. Niranjan Parikh, Dr. Ashwin Joshi, and Jignesh Kamdar (President, Rotary Midtown).
Keynote Speech:
Renowned speaker Mr. Shailesh Sagpariya delivered a moving session titled "Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai," which deeply inspired the large audience in attendance.
Literary Launches
Two significant publications were unveiled during the ceremony:
'Ashakya ne Alvida' (Goodbye to the Impossible): A booklet documenting the achievements of award winners from the past two years.
'Sankalp thi Siddhi' (From Resolve to Achievement): An e-book featuring the success stories of 150 other individuals with disabilities.
All attendees received copies of 'Ashakya ne Alvida' and a guidebook on 'Speech Therapy' authored by the Director of the Divine Rehabilitation Center to promote awareness.
